The first rumors about a new pickup truck 2020 Jeep Gladiator are circulating over the web nearly a decade. We saw lots of spy images and some leaked photos, but now is official, the new model is finally here.
These days at the LA auto show, the Jeep Company promoted new Gladiator as one of the most capable midsize truck ever.
2020 Jeep Gladiator rides on a traditional body-on-frame chassis
Like the Jeep Wrangler model, the forthcoming 2020 Jeep Gladiator will have specified group of people that will like this pickup truck. The new model will ride on a traditional body-on-frame chassis. Furthermore, the body of this pickup is made using high-strength aluminum doors, hinges, hood, fenders, windshield frame, and tailgate.
The higher trims will bring LED headlights, daytime running lights and fog lamps. Also, the taillights share similarities with the Wrangler SUV and will use light-emitting. This model comes with two hardtops and optional is the soft top roof. The manufacturer also keeps the manual rear-sliding window.

The 2020 Jeep Gladiator offers more than 80 active and passive safety systems. Some of the features available are spot monitoring, rear cross path detection, forward-facing off-road camera, standard rear parking camera, adaptive cruise control, and electronic stability control (ESC) with electronic roll mitigation.

The newest 2020 Jeep Gladiator will be powered with one engine the 3.6-liter V6 Pentastar gasoline engine that has been seen on some Jeeps models in the past. However, this one is much stronger and it will be able to deliver 285 horsepower (212 kilowatts) and 260 pound-feet (353 Newton-meters) of torque.
This engine from the official report will be available with a six-speed manual gearbox as standard. Moreover, there will be options to upgrade it optionally with an eight-speed automatic transmission.
AWD system and Tow rating
The power of the 2020 Jeep Gladiator model is channeled to all four wheels through one of two available 4×4 systems. Officials also say that this pickup truck will be one of the best in towing. It will provide 7,650 lb and 1,600-lb 4×4 payload capacity.
2020 Jeep Gladiator release date and price
The newest 2020 Jeep Gladiator pickup will go into production at the beginning of the first half of next year. However, the release date will be in the second quarter of 2019.
At this date there is no price available, however, from some rumors, the new Gladiator will have starting price like the Wrangler Rubicon 4-door that cost $43,000.
