The newest 2020 Mazda BT-50 is coming soon and it will be powered by two engine options. This year model offers uniquely styled design and it will be switched from the Ranger`s platform to the new Isuzu D-Max.
The new-gen 2020 Mazda BT-50 pickup truck could debut in late 2019 as the 2020 version. However, don’t expect too many changes from the 2020 model because it will likely to keep the form of the previous one.
2020 Mazda BT-50 To Get More Curvaceous Lines
As we mentioned, the new 2020 Mazda BT-50 will switch from Ranger’s platform to the next-gen Isuzu. Furthermore, it will also share some exterior cues from D-max model. However, the manufacturer promises that the new BT-50 model will see some changes on the body.
The front face design will get more curvaceous lines and more attractive look similar to the Mazda’s recent SUVs. Like the previous one, this model will be available in many configurations. This will include the chassis cab versions.
The new model will be offered with six color options that include Cool White, Jet Black, Titanium Flash, Aluminium, Deep Crystal Blue Mica and True Red.

The interior of the 2020 Mazda BT-50 from the latest update will be stylish and spacious. The model will feature a simple but functional interior. The seats will be comfortable like in the predecessors and some higher trims will offer leathered seats.
The techs inside will be also updated and buyers will get Alpine infotainment system, 8-inch touchscreen, 12V power outlets, USB ports, sat nav, six-speaker sound system, dual-zone climate control, leather steering wheel and rearview camera.
Speaking of safety, the new 2020 Mazda BT-50 will get some updates. Some of the notable standard features that will be included with the base model are hill-descent control, hill-launch assist, trailer-sway control, locking rear differential, electronic stability control, and plenty of airbags all over the cabin.
2020 Mazda BT-50 Powertrain
Under the hood of the 2020 Mazda BT-50 is lying two engine options. This is the same configuration as the current one. However, the new model will bring some improvements to the fuel economy segment. The first one and the base is the 2.2-liter four-cylinder engine. This unit will give this pickup output of 160 horsepower and 285 pound-feet of torque. As you can see, if we compare it with the current model, the new one offers 10 more HP as the pound-feet of torque.
The next one is a stronger 3.2-liter five-cylinder unit with the output of 185 horsepower and 350 pound-feet of torque. Both engines give great acceleration and smooth ride. Also, both of them will be connected to the six-speed automatic gearbox.
Fuel Consumption and Tow Rating
Fuel consumption is also good and this truck combined should be able to return around 25 miles per gallon. As for the towing, the 2020 Mazda BT-50 is able to maximum tow 7738 Pounds and is just behind the Isuzu D-Max that can tow 7962.

The newest 2020 Mazda BT-50 is the pickup truck that can be expected somewhere late in the year 2019. The base models will go around 26.000 dollars. This is $1000 more than the current one.
