2020 Ram 1500 engine specifications
The 2020 Ram 1500 gets few engine choices. The Hemi V 8 and V6 units are laden with a new mild hybrid setup. It leads to a marginal boost in mileage. An air suspension setup is available and that enhances ride quality. A diesel engine will also be there. The base engine is the 3.6-liter V6 that produces 305 horsepower at 269 lb-ft of torque. The next one is 3.0-liter turbodiesel V6 that is capable to make 240 horsepower and 420 lb-ft of torque.

The highest towing capacity is 12,750 pounds and payload limit is 2300 pounds. The 3.6-liter V6 will give EPA city/highway fuel economy of 17/25 mpg for the model with 2WD and 16/23 mpg for the 4WD. However, the turbodiesel V6 variant fuel economy is 20/27 mpg for the 2WD and 19/27 mpg for 4WD.
The most stronger one Hemi V8 gives 15/22 mpg for the 2WD and 8-speed automatic, 13/18 mpg for the model with 4WD and 6-speed automatic and for the 4WD, 8-speed automatic 15/21 mpg.

The price of 2020 Ram 1500 lineup begins at $29.000 approx. The top trim price will cross $50.000 mark. Expected release date will be in late 2019. The new model will rival Ford, Chevy and GMC models.
